     William Hickman was born on 3 November 1807 at PA. He was the son of David Hickman and Eleanor (---). He married Sarah Stover. He lived in 1840 at Venango Co, PA; next to the Stover familes. He and his wife Sara deeded to Hiram Hickman Tract #50, Bradens District, which were lands of David Hickman.⁷ He died on 2 February 1880 at Venango Co, PA., at age 72.

     James Smith Hogg was born on 10 March 1824 at Allegheny Co, PA.. He married Catherine Rossman circa 1862 at Venango Co, PA.. He died in 1886 at Venenago Co., PA.. He was buried at Rossman-Hickman-Hogg Cemetery, Venango Co, PA..

     Charles Hickman was born circa 1735. He lived from 1754 to 1763 at Coventry Twp, Chester Co, PA..³ He lived in 1769 at Frederick Co, MD.. He moved to what is now Fayette Co, PA. circa 1771. He and his wife "Hannah" sold two lots in Jerusalem Town (now Funkstown, MD) on 14 October 1771.⁴ He died circa 1803.

Two sources provide information that his daughter, Mary, was born about 1760 in Funkstown, near Hagerstown Maryland, (Documentation is listed with Mary's information). In 1766, Charles Hickman signed a petition in Maryland. In 1768, he was listed in Wm Colvin's account book, which indicates he had moved to PA by then. In 1781, his Virginia claim was accepted for 1,000 acres, adjoining his settlement that he made in the year 1774.

There are numerous tax, court, and land records which all place Charles in present day Menallen and German Townships, Fayette County from 1772 until 1803, when he probably died. He was appointed administrator of several estates. His occupation is first listed as carpenter and later as physician. He is reported to be the first physician of the village of New Salem.

Charles' children are listed in a deed in a Breckenridge Co, KY. deed.

He and Abraham Hickman purchased items at Michael Teabott's estate sale in 1779 at Fayette Co, PA..⁶ He married Elizabeth Dempsey, daughter of Arthur Dempsey. He died in 1824 at Jefferson Co, OH..⁷

He was living on the land of his father, in one of the best houses in the area; 26x26 feet two story framed dwelling with 12 windows and 196 lights in 1798 at Fayette Co, PA..¹⁰ He moved to Greene Co, by 1820. He was an Inkeeper in 1821 at Jefferson Twp, Greene Co, PA..¹¹ He died on 9 June 1845 at Greene Co, PA., at age 74; "aged 74 Yrs 7 mo & 18 days." He was buried at St. Ann Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA..

He bought 35 acres on Cambells Run, Marion Co, WV. on 16 August 1880. He and William McC Hickman sold their property on Cambell Run, Marion Co, WV. to Morgan Hickman on 14 December 1882. He died on 20 September 1901 at Greene Co, PA., at age 93.⁸
