(Comment: David Hickman is listed in the New Sewickley Twp, Beaver Co, PA. tax lists starting in 1815. This is also the first apperance of William Harkins in the same Twp. tax lists. In the tax year 1820, David begins to be taxed for 200 acres of land. [The 1830 through 1832 tax lists were not available] In 1833, Hiram Hickman, is listed in the annual tax lists next to David Hickman and his 200 acres. In 1835, Hiram is taxed for 100 acres, and David is taxed for only 100 acres. In the 1836 tax lists, the listing of David Hickman is written as "David Hickman Heirs", indicating that he died prior to 1836 collection of taxes. Also, Lettes of Administration were given to Hiran G. Hickman, on 16 Nov 1835, so David must have died prior to that date.^6,7

(Comment: David purchased land from James Allison on 30 March 1834. He died shorly afterwards, leaving no will, with 10 inheritants, so at the time of his death he had 10 children. There is a "Wayms Hickman" taxed for only for his occupation. It is unknown if he is connected to the family.

(Comment: The DNA of the descendants of four of his children is a partial match to the DNA of Howard Hckman III, a proven descendant of Robert Hickman of Greene Co, PA. (died 1842). Therefore probable that he was a bother of Robert, migrating with his family from New Jersey to Greene Co, PA, before migrating to Beaver Co, PA. David Hickman appears in the 1806 tax lists of Greene Co, PA.)
