     Alice Rose Jones was born on 26 January 1920 at Creston, Unioin Co, IA.. She married Francis William Hickman, son of Forrest William Hickman and Helma Emelia Bjerk, on 3 September 1949 at Douglas, Converse Co, WY.. She died on 3 May 1990 at Excusion Inlet, AK., at age 70.

     Helma Lu Hickman is the daughter of Francis William Hickman and Alice Rose Jones.

(Comment: He was in Fayette County, PA, for a very short time. In the 1798 Federal tax, "Hiereonimous Hickman" is listed as owner and occupant of a log cabin and 50 acres, in Washington Twp, Fayette. In the 1800 Census, he is listed as living in Fayette Co. age 26-45 plus the following: 2 males 10-16, 1 male 16-26, 2 females under 10, 2 females 10-16 and 1 female 26-45.

No other record of him is found in western PA.

He purchased part of Great Lot 10 of Liberty Township, later to become the town of Girard, OH. He is on the 1804 tx list of Beaver, Mahoning Co, OH.

There was a "Hieronymous Heckman" in the 1751-1758 tax lists of Bart Township, Lancaster Co, PA.

     Nancy (---) was born on 22 January 1813 at VA. She married Hiram Hickman, son of Jacob Hickman and Elsy Way, on 18 April 1831.⁴ She died on 23 July 1895 at age 82. She was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dunkard Twp, Greene Co, PA..

     Hiram Hickman was born on 21 January 1809. He was the son of Jacob Hickman and Elsy Way. He married Nancy (---) on 18 April 1831.¹ He appeared in the 1839 Monongahela Twp, Greene Co, PA. tax list and then moved away. He died on 11 August 1845 at Monongahela Twp, Greene Co, PA., at age 36. He was buried at Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Monongahela Twp, Greene Co, PA; "aged 4_ 6."
