     Charles Leo Treadaway was born on 21 December 1821 at NC. He was the son of Arthur Treadway and Lucretia Taylor. He married Elizabeth Bailey on 30 October 1842 at Cherokee Co, GA.. He died on 29 September 1864 at Choctaw, AR., at age 42; of pnemonia. He was buried at Huie Cemetery, Clinton, Van Buren Co, AR..

     Little Berry Grissom Treadway was born circa 1828 at NC. He was the son of Arthur Treadway and Lucretia Taylor. He married Julia Ann Weaver. He with his three brothers enlisted in July 1861, at Springfield, AR. during the Civil War. They enlisted in the Co C, "The Choctaw Riflemen", 10th Regiment Arkansas Infantry, CSA. The unit was involved in several battles, including Shilo. He was discharged from the Confederate Army on a "surgeon's certificate" on 30 January 1863. He died before 1880 at AR.

Family tradition says that he died in Hot Springs, AR. His wife and children have not been found in any 1870 Census, but there are listed in the 1880 Faulner Co, AR.

     E. Andrew Jackson Treadway was born circa 1830 at NC. He was the son of Arthur Treadway and Lucretia Taylor. He married Juliet Weaver. He with his three brothers enlisted in July 1861, at Springfield, AR. during the Civil War. They enlisted in the Co C, "The Choctaw Riflemen", 10th Regiment Arkansas Infantry, CSA. He died on 19 March 1862; in the Civil War. He probably died of disease, during the Civil War. Family tradition states that he died at Bowling Green, KY. Confederate Army recored lists his death at Atlanta, GA.

     Francis M. Treadway was born circa 1843 at NC. He was the son of Arthur Treadway and Lucretia Taylor. He with his three brothers enlisted in July 1861, at Springfield, AR. during the Civil War. They enlisted in the Co C, "The Choctaw Riflemen", 10th Regiment Arkansas Infantry, CSA. The unit was involved in several battles, including Shilo. He experienced the seige of Port Hudson. The unit was disbanded after they were captued at Port Hudson in July 1863. He married Mary M. Treadway on 16 July 1865 at Conway Co, AR; both "of Conway Co, AR."⁵ He married Telitha Jane Vines. He was appointed guardian to William Lafayette, Louisa, and C.R.F. Treadway (minors) on 29 January 1870 at Van Buren Co, AR..⁶ He and Telitha Jane Vines sold their 160 acres of land in Van Buren Co, AR., to John W. Swofford, and moved to Independence Co, AR. on 12 September 1879.⁷ He paid taxes in Independence County, for 3 horses, 3 cattle, and 1 mule, in 1880. This was last tax record of Francis, so he must have died about this time. In 1881, his adopted son, W. L. Treadway is taxed for 1 horse. in 1880. He died circa 1881 at Batesville, Independence Co, AR..
