He and Zelma Ola West were divorced in 1934. He married Velma Vena Minter on 31 October 1937 at Moore, Cleveland Co, OK..⁹ He died on 31 July 1975 at Bakersfield, Kern Co, CA., at age 66.

     Velma Vena Minter was born on 12 September 1918 at Como, Hopkins Co, TX.. She married Jose Sese Manlapig, son of Eugenio Manlapig and Maria Madonnna Sese, on 31 October 1937 at Moore, Cleveland Co, OK..⁵ She died on 11 September 1997 at Bakersfield, Kern Co, CA., at age 78.
