     Anne Lake was a sister of Sir Thomas Lake, Baronet. She was a granddaughter of Deputy Governor Stephen Goodyear. She married Rev. Increase Mather. She was born on 12 October 1663. She was the daughter of Capt. Thomas Lake and Mary Goodyear. She married John Cotton, son of Rev. Seaborn Cotton and Dorothy Bradstreet, on 17 August 1686. She died on 29 March 1737 at Brookline, MA., at age 73.

     John Cotton was born on 8 May 1658 at Wethersfield, CT.. He was the son of Rev. Seaborn Cotton and Dorothy Bradstreet. He married Anne Lake, daughter of Capt. Thomas Lake and Mary Goodyear, on 17 August 1686. He died on 27 March 1710 at age 51.

     Dorothy Bradstreet was the daughter of Gov. Simon Bradstreet and Ann Dudley. She married Rev. Seaborn Cotton, son of Rev. John Cotton and Sarah Hawkridge Story, on 14 June 1654. She died on 26 February 1671 at Andover, MA..

     Rev. Seaborn Cotton was born on 12 August 1633 at at sea. He was the son of Rev. John Cotton and Sarah Hawkridge Story. He married Dorothy Bradstreet, daughter of Gov. Simon Bradstreet and Ann Dudley, on 14 June 1654. He married Prudence Wade on 9 July 1673. He died on 20 April 1686 at Hampton, NH., at age 52.

     Rev. John Cotton married Sarah Hawkridge Story. He was born on 4 December 1585 at Derby, England. He was the son of Roland Cotton and Mary Hurlbert.

     Roland Cotton was the son of George Cotton and Margaret Whittacre. He married Mary Hurlbert on 16 August 1582. He died in 1604.

     Blanche Adele Osgood was born on 29 November 1867 at Mowry Landing, Alameda Co, CA.. She was the daughter of Luther Edward Osgood and Sarah Priscilla Hinckley. She married Thomas Dexter Witherly, son of Franklin Witherly and Maria Susan Camp, on 28 March 1887 at Irvington, CA..^10,11 She was an enumerator of the 1920 Census in 1920 at Washington Twp, Alameda Co, CA.. She died on 10 May 1930 at Mission San Jose, CA., at age 62.

     Luther Edward Osgood was born on 17 June 1831 at Blue Hill, ME.. He was the son of Isaac Smith Osgood and Lois Hibbert Stover. He travelled from Blue Hill, Maine, to California, via the Isthmus of Panama. He returned to Maine to marry. in November 1852. He married Sarah Priscilla Hinckley, daughter of Floyd Hinckley and Mary "Polly" C. Ingalls, on 7 February 1858 at Blue Hill, ME.. He lived from 1858 to 1880 at Mowry Landing, Alameda Co, CA.. In 1880, he established a ranch in Irvington, Alameda Co, where they raised their children Annie and Blanche. Business directories show that they owned farms near both Centerville and Irvington.

The 1878 Atlas of Alameda County lists Osgood as a Centerville farmer with 191 acres and pictures his residence with a 100 acre farm. The map of Washington Corners shows he also owned property that fronted on Mission Road. Osgood was elected Washington Township assessor in 1875 and held this position for many years. He was a very popular community member. He purchased the Judge Crane residence on the San Jose Highway in Irvington and moved his family there in 1880. He built a store for Blacow and Weston that was destroyed by the fire of 1887. He died on 16 May 1901 at Irvington, Alameda Co, CA., at age 69.

     Lois Hibbert Stover was born on 20 April 1794 at Blue Hill, ME.. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Stover and Abigail Devereux. She married Isaac Smith Osgood, son of Phineas Osgood and Molly Smith, on 21 November 1821. She died on 19 June 1837 at Blue Hill, ME., at age 43.

     Isaac Smith Osgood was born on 18 December 1794 at Blue Hill, ME.. He was the son of Phineas Osgood and Molly Smith. He married Lois Hibbert Stover, daughter of Jeremiah Stover and Abigail Devereux, on 21 November 1821. He died on 2 June 1877 at Blue Hill, ME., at age 82.

     Molly Smith was born on 2 June 1762. She married Phineas Osgood, son of Ezekiel Osgood and Mary Barker, on 1 June 1779 at Blue Hill, ME.. She died on 30 September 1821 at Blue Hill, ME., at age 59.

     Phineas Osgood was born on 19 May 1753 at Andover, MA.. He was the son of Ezekiel Osgood and Mary Barker. He married Molly Smith on 1 June 1779 at Blue Hill, ME.. He married Desire (---) on 1 January 1825. He died on 1 November 1834 at age 81.

     Ezekiel Osgood was born on 17 January 1712 at Andover, MA.. He was the son of Ezekiel Osgood and Rebecca Wardwell. He married Mary Barker on 15 May 1746 at Andover, MA.. He settled at Blue Hill, ME. on 4 January 1768. He died on 25 January 1795 at Blue Hill, ME., at age 83.

     Rebecca Wardwell was born on 10 September 1691 at Andover, MA.. She was the daughter of "The Martyr" Samuel Wardwell and Sarah Hooper. She married Ezekiel Osgood, son of Capt. Christopher Osgood and Hannah Belknap, on 20 February 1710.

     "The Martyr" Samuel Wardwell was born on 16 March 1643 at Boston or Andover, MA.. He was the son of Thomas Wardwell and Elizabeth Woodruff. He married Sarah Hooper, daughter of William Hooper and Elizabeth Marshall, on 9 January 1672 at Andover, MA.. He was a carpenter. He told fortunes and was hanged as a witch. He died on 22 September 1692 at Salem, MA., at age 49.

     Thomas Wardwell married Elizabeth Woodruff. He was born in 1602 at Alford, Lincolnshire, England. He immigrated on ship 'Griffin' in 1633. He was a servant. He died on 10 December 1646 at Andover, MA..

     William Hooper was a weaver. He married Elizabeth Marshall. He was born in 1617 at Reading, England. He immigrated on ship 'James' in 1635.
